Spring/Summer – March, April, May, June

It is a buzz of activity in our gardens this time of year. Nature is waking up, the apple trees are blossoming, flowers are blooming, seeds are sown and vegetables are grown. The birds are nesting, the bees are busy collecting nectar and pollinating our plants. It is truly a glorious time of year where you really experience the interconnectiveness of all parts of nature.

Book Workshop

End of year primary school tours – May, June

Our Eco tours are suited to all ages from juniors to sixth class. The emphasis is on fun with a strong ecological message.

Activities include:

  • Treasure hunt
  • Woodland activities
  • Natural craft making
  • Flower seed sowing
  • Tree sapling sowing
  • Organic pizza making in our cob oven
  • Minibeast hunt

Autumn/Winter – September, October, November, December

At this time of year the trees slow down and rest, flowers tuck their heads into the soil and sleep. Bees cosy up for the winter with enough honey to keep them fed, animals prepare for hibernation and some birds head of to warmer climates. This is also harvest time when we celebrate nature’s abundance, hard work and all that she gives.

Activities include:

  • Tasting our organic apples
  • Juicing our organic apples
  • Seed saving
  • Woodland activities
  • Native tree seed sowing
  • Minibeast hunt (only in early autumn)

Pricing/Details

  • Workshops €8 per child
  • Tours €10 per child
  • Workshops/Tours last approximately three hrs
  • We can cater for up to 35 children
  • Workshops are suitable for 2nd class to 6th class
  • Activities are held mainly outdoors with indoor options in wet weather
  • Accompanying parents are welcome
  • Packed lunches wellingtons boots and rain jackets are essential
