Description

Fruitful, vigorous & disease resistant. Discovered on the banks of the river Finisk in the townland of Bewley, the
parish of Kilmolash, Co. Waterford. The last remaining tree is a veteran of an old orchard adjoining a monastery
(in ruins) shown on OS maps of 1840. The monastery was associated with the Knight’s Templar at some points in its
history; but no documentary evidence has been found to directly link the religious order to this variety. Slightly sharp, juicy, crisp.

Flowering: Mid Season
Picking: Late October
