Making the most of your Polytunnel
How to manage your tunnel for maximum production all year round – Sunday Sept 25th – 10am – 4:30pm

If you already have a polytunnel or greenhouse and wish to learn how to make the best use of it then we highly recommend this workshop. The course will focus on ways to keep your polytunnel productive and healthy with vegetables growing throughout the year. It will include practical experience of sowing seeds, transplanting, crop rotation, compost making, teas, pests and diseases, weed control and the correct use of common garden tools. We welcome you to share your own experience and insight: each course will be tailored to the participants needs. Please bring a sample of your soil in a jam jar if you would like its structure analysis and advice on how to improve it.

Our Big workshop weekend offers a range of full-day courses to choose from. You can take a single course or two courses over the weekend. Our courses always get positive feedback from participants and you will benefit from on hand expert tutors with years of experience in their field. The weekend format also offers you the opportunity to meet like-minded people and to spend some time in our gardens, orchards and woodlands in beautiful East Clare.

The Seed Savers Cafe will be open on each course day for lunch, serving soup, tea and coffee, and homemade cakes. The Cafe is vegetarian and uses organic ingredients from the gardens and orchards whenever possible.
