This is a bean we brought back from a seed-saving co-op in Catalonia, an old landrace of the area. The compact, prolific plants grew quite well here in east Clare, bearing plenty of pods throughout the season. This variety produces plenty of pods, and the beans themselves are a beautiful deep purple colour.
