These tours are always a highlight of the year and\u00a0offer you the chance to taste some of Ireland&#8217;s rare heritage apple varieties. These tours are all currently sold out but if you would like to be added to a waiting list please click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/irishseedsavers.ie\/shop\/product-category\/autumn-workshops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HERE<\/a>.\u00a0Simply click on the product, enter your email address and if a place becomes available you will receive a notification straight to your inbox.<\/p>\n<p>Our orchard curator has finalised the selection of apple tree varieties that we will have for sale this year. Our bare root selling\u00a0will start from October 1st and they can be delivered straight to your door when they become dormant (usually in December or January), so be sure to check out our website as stocks will be limited.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/0d0ad83252f1734bedb4f2a4a\/images\/1b7992ee-01a5-4fbd-832c-dc7b9311567e.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"261\" data-file-id=\"4950365\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #696969; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">In the gardens we are\u00a0busy harvesting our seed crops.\u00a0Due to the good weather this summer we are ahead of schedule with our seed harvesting with a lot of crops\u00a0waiting to be dried, threshed, then packed and stored in our purpose\u00a0built Seed Bank for the coming season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Every time a crop is harvested and a bed is cleared\u00a0Phacelia, Winter Vetch or Rye gets planted to fill any gaps. These green manures help\u00a0enrich the soil with\u00a0nutrients and also help prevent\u00a0weeds from taking over.
