Saturday 11th October, 10am to 4pm\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hands on workshop in cider making.<br \/>\nLeading you through the techniques and theory involved in cider making.<br \/>\nWe will select and harvest apples from the ISSA heritage apple orchards, mill and press them using a variety of techniques.<br \/>\nYou will come home with some cider-to-be, and the knowledge to be able to make your own!<\/p>\n<p>We will look at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apples &#8211; taste profiles and selection<\/li>\n<li>Apple harvesting for cider<\/li>\n<li>Milling, mashing and pressing techniques, focussed on home production<\/li>\n<li>Fermentation process &#8211; stages of fermentation and facilitation of natural yeast vs bought-in yeast<\/li>\n<li>Blending, maturation, decanting, priming, bottling and other storage and sweetening solutions<\/li>\n<li>Measuring and control &#8211;
