The Great Irish Garden (our big open day) has gone from strength to strength in recent years. This event received the Heritage Council’s Hidden Heritage Award in 2017. Our 2018 event is now recognised as a European Heritage Event as part of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage.

‘Sharing Stories’ is the theme for this year’s National Heritage Week and in exploring this further Irish Seed Savers have lined up a series of talks, tours and tastings which aims to deepen our connection with Ireland’s food crop heritage, our own gardens and the natural environment. By sharing the stories, history and knowledge of our unique collection, of heirloom seeds and heritage apple trees, we want to share Ireland’s cultural heritage with everyone.
