This variety was sent in to us by Suzette Hughes of the Hughes family, who donated the famous Delaway cabbage to us. The original plants were grown in the Edgeworth gardens near Dublin called ‘Cherbury’, and Suzette has been growing them successfully in her own garden for the last 40 years. This is a robust variety which needs very little maintenance when established. The plentiful shoots are tender and delicious, best steamed or lightly sautéed with oil. Perennial.
