This is a Florence bulb fennel, a wonderfully ornamental vegetable grown for its swollen leaf bases and edible leaves. Ideal for cool-weather growing. Very reliable, high yielding, quick-maturing and bolt-resistant, producing crisp bulbs with a strong liquorice flavour.
