“Probably the most refined of the Oriental Mustard leaves” says Joy Larkcom in her great book ‘The Organic Salad Garden’. It adds piquancy and colour to salads and stir-fries. Shredding the leaves moderates the fiery zing. Grown outdoors, Osaka has incredibly deep purple leaves with lime green veins, a stunning addition to the garden (the effect is lessened slightly in warmer indoor cultivations).
