Description

Stews to a creamy purée. Flavour develops in storage to a tasty eating quality. Reported to have been raised in Leicestershire c 1820 and named Queen Caroline. However, conflicting records from statistical surveys of Derry and Antrim show the variety to have been grown as early as 1802. ISSA will continue to investigate.
