This heirloom from Mexico is sometimes called the Orca bean. This semi-vining variety is highly versatile, grown both as a fresh green bean and the most beautiful dry bean with the characteristic yin yang symbol: half white, half black with a reverse dot on each. They are perfect for winter casseroles and stews. These compact, drought-resistant plants are very productive with many short pods developing throughout the season.
