Description

Raised by Charles Ross, Head Gardener at Welford Park Gardens, Newbury, Berkshire. It was first named Thomas Andrew Knight after the president of the Royal Horticultural Society of Britain.  Received an Award of Merit and a First Class Certificate from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1899. The fruit is coarseley-textured and is juicy and sweet.
