Beetroot, Forono

This cylindrically-shaped beetroot is and old Italian variety. The roots are a deep, dark red colour and grow up to 10cm long. They have a sweet, mild flavour compared to some more earthy beetroot. Good pest and disease resistance. The long, even shape means these beets are especially easy to peel and cook. Simple to grow, either direct sown or first in modules, to be harvested in summer or autumn.
