Description
Fragrant and sweet. Like many early apple varieties Gladstone has a very short season – best eaten from the tree.
An old English summer apple with a long history of planting in Ireland. A reliable early cropper. Thought to have originated in about 1780. It was renamed Mr Gladstone after receiving a First Class Certificate from the RHS in 1883.
