Description
Hearty was collected by Irish Seed Savers from an old self-rooting orchard in Scalp, Flagmount. This is a russett variety which ripens in late October and requires a few weeks in storage to develop its full flavour. The fruit has a crisp, firm texture with a mild nutty taste.
