Description
An early-season dessert apple first raised in Worcester in the 1870s, Worcester Pearmain is valued for its sweet, strawberry-scented flavour and vibrant red flush. It’s a reliable cropper, producing medium-sized fruit that’s best eaten straight from the tree. With attractive spring blossom and moderate vigour, it makes a beautiful and productive addition to traditional orchards or home gardens. While partially self-fertile, it benefits from a compatible pollinator.
Flowering: Mid-Season
Picking: Early-Mid September
Storing: September to October, but better eaten when freshly picked or soon after
Not on approved list for Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES).
