Description
Delicious flavour fruit. Juicy with soft flesh – a nice tasty treat for children. We surmise that its name could allude to its unusual growth habit – thick young shoots are often bare of leaves except for a leafy cluster near the top – similar to a cabbage plant. Traditional to Co. Cavan. We have met several Cavan people who have very fond childhood memories of this tasty rare apple variety.
