This heritage pepper variety was first developed in the 1930s. The medium-sized plants produce blocky fruit that ripen from dark green to dark red. This variety is especially known for its tolerance to cooler conditions and short summers, however it is best grown under cover as it is not so tolerant to the wet Irish climate.
