We had a fantastic Community Seed Share on March 1st with dozens of new faces, coming from far and wide to share and swop seeds. These events form a large part of our ethos here at Irish Seed Savers, bringing communities together to promote biodiversity, share stories and to help protect rare heirloom varieties for future generations. If you missed our Community Seed Exchange don’t worry, we will be at the Ennis Seed & Garden Share, Ennis Showgrounds, Co Clare on the 4th April. For more information visit the Clare Garden Festival website here.

We have entered the final week of sales for our bare root heritage apple trees, our final day of sales being March 10th. Our nursery team are busy packing orders as gardeners around the country are rushing to get their orders in before Spring comes into full bloom. We have Irelands largest selection of heritage varieties and are all certified organic. Our supporters orders are still being processed and the amount of people availing of their free seeds grows every year. If you are a supporter and wish to get your seven free packs of seeds please get in touch so we can process your orders before our deadline on 03rd April . Our list of wholesalers has sky rocketed this year with shops all around the country now stocking Irish Seed Savers seeds on their shelves. Of course this has meant a huge increase in packing and labeling for our team in the seed bank but luckily we are never short of a few volunteers.
